My journey in jewellery started with learning and working in the industry for over 20 years, where I understood not just the business, but the value of craftsmanship and trust. With that experience, I decided to start something of my own and that’s how Suman Jewellery began. My wife, Suman, has been a constant support in this journey, and together we’ve built this step by step.
In 1996, we started our own small manufacturing unit, focusing on handmade jewellery. Even today, that same attention to detail continues in everything we create. Every piece of jewellery starts as a hand-drawn design, thoughtfully created by our designers. It is then carefully crafted in our unit, with close attention and quality checks at every stage. For me, jewellery is not just about how it looks it’s about the effort behind it and the trust people place in us.

The Beginning — 1991
Our journey began on 28 November 1991 with a 300 sq. ft. store in Gandhipuram and a team of nine. We set out to offer jewellery people could trust. Every piece reflected our commitment to honesty, purity, and lasting relationships—the foundation of our values, learning, and customer connection.
Brand Transformation — 2004
As trust grew, we expanded. In 2004, we opened a larger Tatabad showroom, offering more designs and better service. We introduced gold, diamond, platinum, and silver jewellery for every occasion. In 2013, we entered Bangalore. In 2024, we launched a modern Vadavalli showroom with curated collections and a comfortable shopping experience.
